Tuesday Pastor Shear hosted the local Assembly of God pastors for their monthly business and fellowship meeting. Marlene was asked to sing some of her songs and Dan accepted the offer to preach. He spoke on Faith, Hope and Charity. The chairman for the meeting was the District Presbyter for the Assembly of God churches in New York. He invited Dan and Marlene to minister in his church on the following Sunday which they had to decline due to schedule conflicts.
Tuesday evening we visited with the ladies who gather in Ruthie’s building weekly for Bingo and fellowship. Marlene was coaxed into singing (didn’t take much arm twisting, did it Ruthie?) Several ladies asked for prayer.
Wednesday evening Marlene had the pleasure of singing a concert at the First Mohawk Assembly of God, in Hogansburg, New York. This congregation on the
Akwesasne Reservation is led by Pastor Garcia.
We would have loved to stay longer and gotten to know more of the wonderful folks that we met. We are looking forward to spring and making another trip to the beautiful North Country.
